Lisa in the controversial pink hatHi there, travelers and wannabe’s!  I qualify for both, depending on life’s demands at the moment. I’ll bet the same is true of you. That’s why I keep up with the latest travel news and deals… because you just never know when the mood will strike and the moment will be right!  Oh, and by the way, unless otherwise noted, I have no affiliation with any of the entities mentioned. Just collecting info, as a travel insider, to pass along to you.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you’ll return often.

Happy travels,

  9. Travelling in Australia is stress-free. The roads are safe from mad drivers, signage is abundant, there are numerous places for a toilet stop and people are usually willing to give you directions if you get lost. You will see grey nomads – retired folk who have embraced the road as a lifestyle. Public transport is not perfect because the size of Australia means a car is required to get around efficiently. Especially going to out of the way places like the Grampians National Park in Victoria.

  14. So I changed “beer” budget to “Diet Coke”. I’m told it just doesn’t work. I just changed it back. Thing is, I love champagne and don’t drink beer. Love Diet Coke, but gave it up months ago… for water. Can I say “Champagne budget on a water budget” ? Somehow, it doesn’t seem to flow…

I saw your site mentioned in the comments in the section of the Dean Harden(?) Branding movie. I looked around a little, and had some thoughts for you.
    1) Something along the lines of. “You dreamed of the someday vacation in far away places. Ones like the movies show, but that was as far is went. You wanted Cancun, but the budget said the local pool was it? Like many of us, you have a Guinness taste, but a Budweiser budget. Let me help you. I can help you have a Fancy Champagne vacation, for a Micro Brew cost.”
You could also paint it as a Guinness taste, but a Lemonade budget. Then, your solution could be a Fancy Champagne for a Guinness cost. Almost anyone who drinks beer is familiar with Guinness, as a high quality beer, with a relatively high cost. It’s the same with Micro Brew beers, being relatively expensive, but also very good.
I don’t drink, but I can see the comparisons. If you really can deliver a high quality vacation, for much less than typical travel agents, your “brand” will build. People will come back talking about how it was so much better than expected. Especially if they can go to “high cost” places, but be less expensive to visit.

What a new adventure, to switch from straight HTML to Wordpress. I’m in the process of uploading files. Oh I hope it doesn’t take as long as I suspect it will. If you’ve got any Wordpress tips, please share.
